Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Mother's Day Gift Ideas - Smart Southern Style

Hi everyone! It has been a while since I’ve shared a blog post, and you may notice that Smart Southern Style blog looks a little different now! I made some changes to make it easier to navigate and view on a mobile device. You’ll also notice that all of the pages under the “Shop” tab will be updated regularly. This will allow me to share recent items I am loving without having to write a full blog post. So, be sure to check those pages each time you visit the blog to view all of my latest finds.

Now, on to why I am really sharing a new post today…Mother’s Day will be here in just over a week! I am sharing some gift ideas that I either own myself, have given as a gift, or know someone who owns the item and loves it.

1. BAREFOOT DREAMS BLANKET: We’ve had our blanket for a few years and always reach for it when we are on the couch. It is thick, soft and so cozy! It washes really well and comes in lots of colors. This is a bit of a splurge, but it will last forever and I think it is worth it. If you are looking for a more affordable blanket option, this under $20 LEOPARD THROW is a favorite of some of my girlfriends.

2. BEDROOM SLIPPERS: Continuing with the cozy theme, bedroom slippers are always a good gift idea. These are super affordable and ship free with Prime. They come in a few colors and I have worn them pretty much every day during this quarantine. They have a rubber sole so I have been known to wear them outside too! These are a dupe for the UGG SLIPPERS that everyone loves. The Uggs are more of an investment but my friends swear by them.

3. INITIAL NECKLACE: I have a similar version of this necklace and wear it regularly. It is great to wear by itself or layer with longer necklaces. An easy and thoughtful gift for any mama in your life.

4. TUMBLER WITH METAL STRAW: I always have a cup of ice water with me, and use this tumbler all the time. I love the marble design and am tempted to get a second in one of the many other color options. It comes with 2 metal straws and a brush cleaner for the straws. My drink stays cold all day in this! The $17 tumbler is also an Amazon find and ships free.

5. JAR CANDLE: These are without a doubt my favorite candles! The smell is amazing, they come in beautiful jars and last a long time. The candles come in several sizes, so I like to have a LARGER ONE in my kitchen and put the SMALLER SIZE CANDLE in my bathroom.

6. COPPER MUG SET: Do you have a Moscow Mule fan in your life? If so, this set of 4 copper mugs is a must! These mugs keep your drink so cold and are cute too! The set also comes with matching copper straws and wooden coasters. This is one of the most affordable copper mug sets I have found and the quality is top notch.

7. PHOTO MUG: If mugs for adult beverages aren’t your thing, this adorable photo coffee mug may be a good gift choice! It is such a cute idea for parents and grandparents. The deadline for Mother’s Day delivery has passed, but you could always write out a “gift coming soon” note with a photo of the mug.

8. DIGITAL PICTURE FRAME: Another gift idea that involves photos is this digital picture frame. My dad owns this and I am able to upload new photos of my girls that will appear on his frame! It has a touch screen display to swipe through photos, delete photos or pause the slideshow. This ships free with Prime and arrives in one or two days.

9. SUCCULENT GIFT BOX: I think this is such a cool idea! Succulents are so cute and very popular right now. They are hard to kill, which is exactly the kind of plant I need! If you are looking for an alternative to sending flowers to your mom, a succulent arriving at her door step is a great option. The succulent comes in a nicely packaged gift box along with a candle and matches. A friend of mine recently received one of these for her birthday and said it was her favorite gift.

10. NECK MASSAGER: I have shared this wonderful neck massager before, and I love it so much that I wanted to share it for Mother’s Day too. I use it regularly while watching TV when I feel tension in my neck or back. It has several massage settings as well as heat. I have given a few of these as gifts and they are always a big hit.

I hope you found an idea or two that is a good fit for the special mom in your life. Or, maybe you found something for yourself?! (I won’t judge!) These are good gift ideas for the special women in your life all year round, so keep them in mind for upcoming birthdays and end-of-year teacher gifts too. Wishing all of you mamas a wonderful Mother’s Day! Thanks so much for reading Smart Southern Style!
