UPDATED FACE MASK REVIEW

SMART SOUTHERN STYLE - FACE MASK REVIEW

I shared a face mask review a few months ago, and got a great response from you all after that post. Since then, I have added a few more face mask options to my collection and wanted to share those with you as well. I also have some additional feedback on the comfort of each mask after wearing them more frequently. I have reviewed face masks from several retailers and am sharing my updated thoughts, along with a link to shop and pricing details, under each photo. The words that are bolded in aqua are links, so just click on the word and it will take you to the retailer’s website to shop.

SMART SOUTHERN STYLE - FACE MASK REVIEW

This LEOPARD FACE MASK remains one of the most comfortable ones that I have. It is a soft stretchy material and has 2 layers of fabric. The fabric wraps around your ears and provides good coverage. There is an opening between the 2 layers of fabric if you want to insert a filter. It is easy to breathe in too! This one is is from a small business on Etsy and is priced around $12. The print I have is called “small leopard”. I would say this is my number 2 choice for overall comfort. As a side note, this mask is the most purchased item from Smart Southern Style readers in the last 2 months!

Because I love the leopard mask so much, I bought this BLUE FLORAL MASK in the same style. It has the same fit as the leopard mask above and I love the bright colors! It is $12 and from a small business on Etsy.

SMART SOUTHERN STYLE - FACE MASK REVIEW

If you are looking for a really affordable option, this PINK FACE MASK from Target is only $2 and is the most affordable I have found anywhere. There is elastic that goes around the ears,, but it does not fit great around my face personally. This mask does not have a filter insert. If you are primary concerned with price, this mask is your best bet, but there are several more comfortable options in this post. The pink color is out of stock right now but it comes in a bunch of other colors. My daughter has some kids sized masks in the same style that she really likes and you can find those HERE & HERE. I find that the kids options fit my daughter better than the adult options fit me.

SMART SOUTHERN STYLE - FACE MASK REVIEW

After wearing masks more regularly, I would say that these masks that are part of a FLORAL MASK 3 PACK are my FAVORITES! I love the material of these Tory Burch masks as they are made with a wicking material similar to a bathing suit, so they are easy to breathe in. There is adjustable elastic around the ears. The masks come in a set of 3 along with a cute pouch for $35. All of the patterns are pretty and will be nice as we transition to fall. The masks have 2 layers of fabric with a filter insert. They also have a nose wire that is very flexible and comfortable. My masks are part of the older pack that is no longer available, but the new pack of 3 masks is super cute too!

Another affordable option is this OLD NAVY MASK. It is part of a pack of 5 and there are lots of patterns to choose from. These masks are a single layer with no filter insert. They have elastic around the ears and are adjustable to fit various face sizes. I did not find these to fit quite as well as the leopard and Tory Burch masks, but they are still a great affordable option. If you are looking for a really affordable mask, I would recommend these over the Target mask I shared above as I find them to be a much better fit. These masks are reasonably priced at $12.50 for a pack of 5 or $25 for a pack of 10.

This TIE DYE MASK is another new addition to my collection. It is a stretchy material so although it is not adjustable, it should fit most any face size. It is slightly large on my face, so I would say if you have a smaller than average face, this may not be the best option for you. This material isn’t quite as soft as some of my other masks, but it is still comfortable. It has a seam on the outside, so it isn’t as clean looking as the other masks in this post. I found this one as part of a set of 3 from a small business on Etsy. The set I have is called “Cooling Tie Dye” and the set of 3 masks is under $20. (The colors are more muted than they look in the photo on Etsy.)

SMART SOUTHERN STYLE - FACE MASK REVIEW

One of the cutest styles I have found is these EMBROIDERED FACE MASKS. I thought they were so pretty so I purchased both white and green. These are hand made from a small business on Etsy and have nice high quality embroidery on them. However, because of the stitched embroidery, the masks are thicker than others and not quite as flexible. After wearing them a bit more, I would say that they are not as easy to breathe in because of the thickness. I would not choose these masks if I had to wear them all day. If you are looking for a cute mask you won’t wear for long, you could consider these, but I would not recommend them for long wear due to the thickness. The embroidered masks come with a filter and are $10 each and available in 10 different colors.

Last but not least is this FLORAL FACE MASK. I have shared this one on my social media a few times and a bunch of you have purchased it. It has a more structured shape and fits under the chin. There is a filter insert and the ear straps are adjustable. It has a nose wire and fits great! I would say this mask is tied for second place along with the leopard and blue floral style. I found this mask from a small business on Etsy and it is priced around $15.
