Top 10 Best Sellers of 2022
Hi friends! Your eyes do not deceive you, I have actually published a blog post for the first time in almost three months! My full time job has been really busy the last few months and we’ve done quite a bit of traveling, so unfortunately that means I didn’t have as much time for blogging. But, I am back with a fun post today and my goal in 2023 is to be consistent in sharing a few blog posts each month. Now on to the real reason for this post…I am recapping the Top 10 best sellers of 2022! I always love seeing what you all purchase the most and it is clear that you all really love shopping at Amazon and Target! All 10 items on this list are from one of those 2 retailers. And, almost every piece is priced under $50! Let’s count down from number 10 to the best seller of the year. As always, sizing details and links to shop are under each photo.
10. EMBROIDERED DRESS - This Amazon dress looks so much more expensive than the under $40 price! I love the embroidery on the bodice and the flutter sleeves with pom pom details. The dress comes in over 10 colors and runs true to size. It also looks great layered with a denim jacket when it is cooler outside.
9. CROPPED JEANS - If you are looking for an alternative to skinny jeans, these cropped straight leg jeans are a great option. They are high waisted yet still comfortable and come in 3 different washes. I am wearing “dark wash”. The jeans are affordably priced under $30 and run true to size.
8. MAXI DRESS - The swiss dot print, flattering smocked waist and flutter sleeves are a few of the many reasons I love this dress. It is fully lined, has functional buttons and an overall flattering fit. This dress is easy to wear when it is cooler outside by layering with a denim jacket. The dress comes in over 15 colors and I am wearing the color “wine red”. The dress runs true to size and I am in a medium.
7. DISTRESSED SKINNY JEANS - This is the second pair of jeans from Target that made the best of 2022 list and I can see why. They are comfortable, flattering and have just the right amount of distressing in my opinion. I am wearing the “medium wash” and find that the jeans run true to size.
6. MIDI DRESS - The style and fit of this dress make it ideal for work, church or a night out. It is a midi length and hits at my mid-shins (I am 5’5”). I love the slight puff sleeve and tiered ruffle skirt. The dress comes in lots of colors and runs true to size.
5. DEMOCRACY SKINNY JEANS - I love this brand of jeans, as they have elastic on the inside waist band making them incredibly comfortable. They are by far my most worn jeans and I have them in 3 different washes. The 2 pictured here are “Black” and “Bl Blue”. The jeans have a good amount of stretch, so I recommend sizing down if you are in between sizes.
4. CAP SLEEVE DRESS - Y’all went crazy for this Amazon dress when I shared it earlier this year. It comes in over 30 (!) colors and patterns and is affordably priced under $40. The elastic at the waist gives the dress a flattering shape and I love the cap sleeves. I really like the length on this dress, as it hits just above my knees. It is a great length to wear to the office, or to school if you teach. The dress runs true to size and I am in a medium.
3. WHITE BLOUSE - The details on this top are beautiful and it is so versatile too. Pair it with jeans, shorts, or even work pants. I also have layered it under a blazer. The options are really endless! It comes in a lot of colors and is under $40. The blouse has a generous fit, so you could size down if you are in between sizes. I am in my regular size medium.
2. AMAZON PULLOVER - I have worn this so much since I bought it, and love it so much I now have it in 3 colors. The pullover comes in several colors and patters including “coral pink” and “placed stripe” pictured here. I sized up in the pullover for a more oversized fit.
1. TARGET JOGGERS - I cannot say enough good things about these joggers. They are incredibly comfortable and flattering and run true to size. I love that they are slightly cropped and are so affordable at just $30. Y’all, I now have them in 5 different colors and literally wear them almost every day. You all clearly love them too, as these joggers are the most purchased item from Smart Southern Style readers of all time!
